Dear Friend,
One of my opponents in the August 20th Democratic Primary recently posted a long list of endorsements of their campaign by local elected officials. This should be a red flag to voters in this county, especially the ones who remember the Public Corruption and Crime Scandals that plagued our county government and earned Palm Beach County the nickname of “Corruption County”.
While I’ll be glad to earn the endorsement of any citizen in the county, elected or not, I certainly will not be publicizing endorsements from elected officials who could someday fall under scrutiny from citizen and other complaints in the future.
One of the roles of State Attorney is to be a Watchdog, ensuring we have government for the people and by the people, not a government unfairly influenced by favors, dollars and “inside baseball” from special interests, developers, and corporate donors. There’s enough of that in Tallahassee and DC.
While I am sure that most of our elected officials throughout the county are fine, honest individuals, doing the right thing for their communities, I’m equally sure that there are likely some bad apples in their midst.
Just because there hasn’t been an public corruption investigation or charges filed in the last decade does not mean that corruption in Palm Beach County has gone away.
Profiteers know how to hide.
I promise to be your watchdog to strongly enforce our public corruption laws and keep our elected officials honest.
When I am serving as your next State Attorney, I pledge to the voters of Palm Beach County that political favors will not be a consideration in my administration, Period.
It has been just over a year ago, on May 2nd, that I filed to run in the upcoming election, and we also qualified for the August 20th Election ballot last month. As the leading Democratic reform-focused candidate in the current race to replace Dave Aronberg as State Attorney, I’ve been busy pointing out several serious problems within the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice system. I am the only candidate talking about these issues, and the only candidate emphasizing real solutions that I’ll work on when elected, like
Reducing Recidivism
Lowering the County Crime Rate
Mindful Use Of Our Tax Dollars
Creating Alternatives For Youth To Prevent Incarceration
Educating Our Residents On Keeping Our Neighborhoods Safe
Fighting Fraud Against Our Senior Citizens
Working Together on Solutions To Our Growing Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Homelessness Issues
You can probably guess why my opponents, who are either current or former employees of the current State Attorney administration, don’t want to mention, or even acknowledge, these problems or focus on solutions, and I see that as another red flag and a big part of our problem. The silence of my opponents on any future plans in the areas listed in the bullet points above should tell you that it will remain business as usual in the next incarnation of our criminal justice system should any of my competitors be elected.
You can find over 2 dozen videos of me talking to voters about some of the current problems that my opponents choose to ignore and not mention. We can see the problems that exist when we walk out of door or turn on the news.

I am hearing from colleagues that some local Defense Attorneys are hesitant to donate to my campaign because they are
“afraid I'm going to lower the crime rate too much.”
Hearing that is actually a better contribution than any check.
Please share my info by forwarding this email to your friends, neighbors, family and colleagues who actually would like the idea of lowering the crime rate in Palm Beach County!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Florida Supreme Court ordered the removal of Palm Beach County Judge Dana Marie Santino Monday.
The court said it was acting on the recommendation of the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission.
Santino was accused of blasting her opponent, Gregg Lerman, in the 2016 election for county judge.
The Florida Judicial Qualification Commission asked Santino about her campaign ad that said Lerman only represents “murders, rapists, child molesters, and other criminals.”
